As a Registered Dietitian, I love having healthy dips on hand since they make me want to eat so many more veggies. And let’s be honest, they’re perfect with chips, too!

It’s spicy thanks to the jalapeno, packed with flavor from the cilantro, and much like my other easy dip recipes, it only takes 5 minutes to whip up!

Canned black beans make this come together SUPER quickly!

A fiber packed dip you’ll actually LOVE

Not only is this vegan bean dip delicious, it’s seriously packed with protein and fiber!

One servings has a whopping 13 grams of protein and 10 grams of fiber without even considering what you use to dip it in, meaning if you’re eating it as a snack it’ll actually keep you feeling full longer than like, 5 minutes.

And just like my Cilantro Lime Edamame Dip, it keeps so well in the fridge so you can enjoy it all week long!

Tips from my kitchen to yours!

I’ve tested this recipe many times, so naturally, I have some tips for perfect execution!

  • Do not, I repeat, do not just dump a can of black beans into your food processor without draining and rinsing them first! Adding the liquid means that your dip will be way too loose, and that liquid can contribute to some, um, gassiness… So drain and rinse those beans well!
  • Make sure you use the food processor on the onion, garlic and jalapeno first! Adding all of the ingredients in at the same time means that it may not dice as finely as you want.
  • Don’t skip the lime juice! It totally brightens up the whole dish to tie it all together!

Time to whiz up some dip!
