You know the saying of being the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there still could be someone who hates peaches? Well, I don’t think that applies to this healthy strawberry peach smoothie recipe.

It’s sweet, creamy, and because we don’t use any banana, you get alllll the peach and strawberry flavor without it being overpowered by banana!

Plus, as a Registered Dietitian and cookbook author who shares tons of easy and healthy smoothie recipes, I love that it packs 16 grams of BOTH protein and fiber, without using any protein powders or dairy!

No banana, no problem!

Look, I happen to love adding bananas to smoothies, but I totally get that they can kinda overpower a smoothie and make it taste like nothing but banana.

So what do we add to sub the creaminess that a banana brings? Hemp seeds! Not only are they packed with healthy fats for creaminess, but just like in my decadent and healthy brownie energy balls, they also add a good dose of protein and fiber so that this smoothie actually leaves you feeling full.

But with that being said, bananas do add valuable sweetness that hemp seeds can’t, so it’s super important that if you’re using fresh peaches, they’re ripe, so that allll of that delicious flavor comes through!

You’re gonna have some hemp seeds leftover after making this vegan smoothie recipe, and I’m begging you to use them in my High Protein Creamy Broccoli Soup! The hemp seeds are the star of the show to add tons of protein to the soup without any dairy!

Testing notes you need to know!

I’ve tested this peach and strawberry smoothie many times to make sure it’s absolutely perfect, so here are my top tips!

  • Use soy or regular cow’s milk instead of almond. It makes the smoothie wayyyyy creamier and adds 9 grams of protein, which you won’t get with almond milk!
  • If you don’t have a high powered blender, add the liquid to the blender container first! It will help get the smoothie started with blending, rather than getting jammed up on the fruit.
  • I’ve tested this recipe with both fresh and frozen peaches and love them both, but I do prefer fresh peaches for that extra sweet flavor! If you’re using frozen peaches, you may need to add an extra splash of milk to get the blender going, but only add 1-2 tablespoons at a time so it doesn’t make the smoothie too thin of a consistency.

Time to blitz up a smoothie!
