Super simple ingredients for a super hydrating drink!

We’re keeping it super simple!

As a Registered Dietitian, I’m all for convenience, but I’m an even bigger fan of keeping things ridiculously simple. So before you go running to the store, grab a few pantry and freezer staples that you probably already have on hand and whip this up!

It comes together in minutes and has a delicious strawberry lemonade flavor that’s a million times better than anything you can get in a bottle, so much so that my husband kept stealing sips straight from the blender when I was testing this recipe!

The best homemade electrolyte drink and so easy to make!

Ingredients with a purpose

Did you know that an electrolyte drink is basically just water with sosium, magnesium, potassium and calcium? And sometimes they have carbs (aka sugar!), too, depending on the type of drink.

Because of that, it’s actually super simple to make them homemade at a fraction of the cost.

Just like in my dairy free high protein strawberry smoothie recipe, we use frozen strawberries, plus lemon juice, salt, water and maybeee a pinch of sugar if you want it a little sweeter!

I also tested this DIY electrolyte drink with fresh strawberries, but frozen berries won every time. They create a colder, more refreshing drink without watering it down with extra ice.

Trust me… You’re gonna want to drink this everyday!

No blender? No problem!

Listen, I’ve tested this recipe more times than I can count, and sometimes I just do not have it in me to pull out the blender. Luckily, we’ve got options!

I’ve made this using the juice of half an orange instead of frozen strawberries for flavor, and it still turns out really delicious. Not quite the same strawberry lemonade vibe… but still very sippable!

That said… I’m not going to lie, I still prefer the strawberry version every time.

And if you’re really in a pinch? Just bump up the lemon juice a little and add a tiny extra spoonful of sugar for more of a classic lemonade-electrolyte situation. Still refreshing and still does the job!
