These Buffalo Cauliflower Wings are the perfect quick and easy vegan recipe that can be eaten as a snack, taco filling or in a salad!
I don’t know why I’ve never shared a Buffalo Cauliflower Wing recipe before, because I’m obsessed.
My partner used to love wings, so I’m constantly trying to find a vegan replacement for them that he’ll love and fill the void for wings in his heart. I love how well the cauliflower takes the flavor of the sauce and seasoning in this recipe, since the best part of wings is really the sauce, right?!
Seriously, I don’t think we give cauliflower enough credit. A lot of people think that because cauliflower is a white vegetable it doesn’t contain many nutrients, but that couldn’t be further from the truth! Cauliflower is packed with fiber, vitamin C, and vitamin B6, and because it’s a cruciferous vegetable it contains sulfurophane, which may help to reduce risk of developing certain types of cancers.
Why I love these Buffalo Cauliflower Bites
This Buffalo Cauliflower Wing recipe is a quicker version than a lot of other recipes you’ll find, which is good, because when I want cauliflower wings I want them pretty much immediately. I used my air fryer to make these Buffalo Cauliflower Wings because I love how quick it is to heat up and easy it is to clean, but they would definitely work in the oven, too! You may just need to extend the cooking time slightly.
These Buffalo Cauliflower Wings are delicious on their own, but can also be eaten in tacos or nourish bowls, too! Really, the options are endless, and I love prepping these ahead of a busy week for a delicious addition to pretty much any meal.
Traditional buffalo sauce uses hot sauce, butter, Worcestershire and vinegar. I’ve opted to use a vinegar-based hot sauce (Frank’s Hot Sauce) to cut out the need to use vinegar, and have used a vegan butter. Since Worcestershire isn’t vegan, I’ve removed that from the recipe. If you’re not a huge fan of buffalo sauce, feel free to use whatever flavorings or sauces you like! I’ve made these with just barbecue sauce before and they turned out absolutely delicious.
