This is hands down the best poppy seed dressing! It’s creamy, tangy, and just sweet enough and comes together in under 5 minutes with no dairy in sight (yes, really!). Perfect for meal prep and drizzling over crisp salads, grain bowls, or even using as a dip!

Let’s be real, store-bought salad dressing doesn’t taste nearly as good as homemade.

And don’t get me wrong, as a Registered Dietitian I’m all about doing anything that’s gonna make me eat more vegetables, and sometimes that’s reaching for the store bought dressings, but when homemade poppyseed dressing is this quick and easy to make… I’m gonna choose the homemade version every single time!

It only takes 5 minutes to make and is packed with the bright, sweet-and-tangy flavor with a delicious texture and a subtle crunch from the poppy seeds, with just the right amount of sweetness.

No dairy, no mystery ingredients, just a creamy, dreamy drizzle that’ll have you pouring it on everything from my absolutely delicious 5-Minute Fresh Green Salad to sandwiches to straight-from-the-fridge spoonfuls (no judgment here!).

If you’re craving that classic creamy texture and white color in your vegan poppyseed dressing, you’re in luck! I’ve tested this recipe both as-is and with a tablespoon of vegan (or regular) mayo added, and it’s absolutely delicious either way.

Olive oil: Or another neutral-tasting oil.

Apple cider vinegar: But I’ve tested this recipe with white wine vinegar or regular ol’ vinegar and they both work great, too!

Poppyseeds: duh!

Dry mustard: for a little extra zing!

Sugar: for that classic poppy seed dressing sweetness!

Salt: to bring out allll the flavor!
