This homemade barbecue dipping sauce comes together in less than 2 minutes with only 3 ingredients, making it the number one dipping sauce in my heart! I love using this as a dipping sauce for my 20-Minute Air Fried Tofu Nuggets, but it’s also perfect for fries, or veggie sausages!
You’d be hard pressed to tell me about a type of food that isn’t made one hundred times more delicious with a dipping sauce. And in my opinion, everyone needs a go-to dipping sauce that they can whip up for any occasion, and this 3-Ingredient Dipping Sauce is just that for me!
Plus, I love that it only takes two minutes to make, but you’d never be able to tell by how delicious it is!
I originally made this BBQ Dipping Sauce for my Crispy Air Fried Tofu Nuggets since it’s the perfect accompaniment, but I’ve seriously made it, like, five times since then since it’s so amazing.
Maybe you’re trying to eat a little healthier but still want your food to taste good, which is where I love sauces like this one. Yes, they’re mayonnaise based, but you only need a little to pack some serious flavor. And that makes this Dietitian very happy!
What makes this the Best Dipping Sauce?

What to serve this Dipping Sauce with
This sauce is absolutely drool-worthy with my Crispy 20-Minute Air Fried Tofu Nuggets, which is what I originally made it for, but I also love it drizzled over a wrap or my Vegan Burrito Bowl.
Ingredients
Because this recipe only has a few simple ingredients, I definitely recommend making sure you love the flavor of the ones you do use!
Vegan mayonnaise: This adds a creamy base to the sauce! I typically use Hellman’s Vegan Mayonnaise, but you can totally use regular mayo instead!
Barbecue sauce: For smoky sweet flavor! I recommend choosing one that you love for optimal deliciousness.
Hot sauce: I used Franks Red Hot Sauce, but really any hot sauce will work!
This is how easy to make it is:
- Add all ingredients to a small bowl and mix well to combine. Serve and enjoy!
Storing Leftovers
You can refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
