Welcome to Tasting to Thrive! My name’s Lauren, and I’m a Canadian Registered Dietitian with a Masters of Public Health in Nutrition and Dietetics currently residing in Toronto, Ontario. I graduated with honours from the University of Guelph (one of Canada’s leading nutrition programs) and completed a rigorous year-long dietetic internship with Nova Scotia Health Authority. During my dietetic internship I gained experience in acute-care, nutrition education, public health, diabetes, renal care, and much more. After my internship I pursued a Masters of Public Health in Nutrition and Dietetics with a collaborative specialization in Women’s Health.
My goal is to help you on your journey to a balanced, happy and healthy lifestyle. Food is an important part of our everyday lives, and I believe that having a balanced and healthy relationship with foods benefits every area of our existence. I believe in eating an abundance of food that makes us feel good; vegetables, fruit, whole grains, beans, legumes, nuts, and seeds while also consuming food that is nourishing for the soul as well. My specialty areas are plant-based nutrition (whether you’re veg-curious or committing to a plant-based diet), intuitive eating, mindful eating, and health at every size. On this website you will find straight-forward, evidence based nutrition information, easy and delicious plant-based recipes and enlightening videos.
