The Best Blueberry Kale Smoothie (High Protein)

This high-protein Blueberry Kale Smoothie is bursting with both flavor AND 20 grams of protein, with zero protein powder or dairy needed! We use soy milk, frozen blueberries, banana and kale as the base for this super healthy smoothie that takes less than 5 minutes to whip up and is the perfect energizing breakfast or snack!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen kale
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 frozen banana
  • cups unsweetened soy milk plus more as needed
  • 2 tbsp ground flax seeds

Notes

Remember that if you use frozen banana rather than fresh, your smoothie is going to come out thicker and creamier, which is what I prefer!
You may need a little more liquid in your smoothie, depending on how high-speed your blender is. If so, just add it in slowly (like, a couple of tablespoons at a time!) so the smoothie doesn't get too thin.
